Terminator Zero Presents New Red Band Trailer @ AnimeNYC
The new series from Production I.G. shows Judgement Day in all its horrors.
Netflix held a special screening for the red band trailer of the upcoming Terminator Zero anime at this year’s Anime NYC event. Presenting the footage were members from animation studio Production I.G., alongside showrunner Mattson Tomlin (The Batman II), director Masashi Kudō (Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War) and production design coordinator Haruka Watanabe.
The trailer wastes no time in displaying all of the mayhem and bloodshed Skynet’s “Judgement Day” has to offer — but there will be no John Connor here. Instead, the story revolves around a soldier sent back in time to protect scientist Malcolm Lee from a Terminator as he attempts to launch an AI that could end Skynet’s attack on humanity.
The English voice cast boasts some big names, with Justified’s Timothy Olyphant voicing the Terminator, House of the Dragon ‘s Sonoya Mizuno playing the soldier Eiko, and Castle Rock ‘s Andre Holland playing scientist Malcolm Lee. Rosario Dawson and Ann Dowd also star.
The trailer can be viewed here.
Alongside the trailer, Netflix also released a new promotional image, which was given out to panel attendees as a poster:
Terminator Zero arrives on Netflix on August 29th (The in-universe date of Skynet’s “Judgement Day”), and will run a total of eight episodes.
